Guidelines for use of the Park are here to assist you.  If you want to plant a tree for a loved one, make contact with the Custodian or the Rotary Club or just want to know more about the Park contact us here.

  • Everyone is welcome to stroll through the park. Note: No horses or motorcycles are allowed.

  • The park has been established for the planting of trees and a place for memories - it is not a cemetery and further embellishments will not be allowed.

  • No one is to create new tracks or paths.

  • Selection of a site and choice of suitable tree for the site is made in consultation with the Park's Custodian.

  • The cost of a site includes a river stone plinth. Memorial plaque is at your cost. Cost per site $250 (minimum donation)

  • The erection of a memorial plaque or the planting of a tree does not imply ownership of any part of the park.  Everything at the park remains in the ownership of the Forest of Memories through the Rotary Club of Waipukurau.

  • Plantings are supervised with a photographic record taken.

  • Pruning or tree surgery is done in consultation with the custodian.

  • Care of tree and close surrounds is encouraged as long as it's in keeping with the sympathy of the Park.

  • Watering of trees is your responsibility.

  • If you wish to install seating, approval must be given by the Park Custodian.

  • Forest of Memories is indeed a special place.
